Nelle mura aragonesi risalenti alla metà del XV secolo pulsa il centro storico di Brindisi che conserva ancora resti archeologici e splendide chiese romaniche.
Brindisi è tutta da scoprire con il suo porto naturale, le rovine romane, le fortezze affacciate sul mare e le chiese medievali.
Il castello aragonese è caratterizzato dal colore rosso delle pietre. La seconda grande fortezza è il castello svevo, voluto da Federico II come residenza fortificata delle guarnigioni.
Poco distante, nell’antico Rione di San Pietro degli Schiavoni, si scoprono i ruderi della Brindisi romana con il selciato di una strada e i resti di abitazioni e di un complesso termale.

Within the Aragonese walls dating back to the mid-15th century, the historic centre of Brindisi pulsates with archaeological remains and splendid Romanesque churches.
Brindisi is waiting to be discovered with its natural harbour, Roman ruins, fortresses overlooking the sea and medieval churches.
The Aragonese castle is characterised by the red colour of the stones. The second great fortress is the Swabian castle, built by Frederick II as a fortified residence for his garrisons.
Not far away, in the ancient district of San Pietro degli Schiavoni, you will discover the ruins of Roman Brindisi with the paving of a road and the remains of dwellings and a thermal complex.
